Oh you guys! You KNOW how I love to do room reveals, but this one TAKES THE CAKE! I’ve forever and ever wanted to do a little girl’s room reveal. I wanted it so bad that I was convinced I’d never actually have a little girl and that I’d just have boys, so it was quite a shock this past fall to find out we were in fact having a little girl! Today I’m SOOO excited to share with you the completion of my Baby Girl’s Whimsical Nursery Reveal! My vision for this room was just color, pattern, and whimsy…I didn’t want matchy matchy, I wanted something she’d wake up to and feel happy and I think it came out JUST the way I had hoped! Be prepared for picture overload!
{At the bottom of this post you can find ALL the vendors I used and worked with and links to their sites}
My overall color scheme for this room was light pink, darker pink, yellow, teal/mint, light blue, and white. I tried to pull in as many colors as I could from painting the beadboard light pink on the bottom, to painting the closet and the top of the room the darker pink. The trim was touched up and painted bright white to really make it pop.
Here’s a picture from the back corner of the room, it’s hard to take photos of this room because there’s only ONE window in the room facing south, so not a ton of natural light coming in, but I did my best! When we had our son, we got this expresso brown furniture, which I love, but I really do wish it was white because it would be perfect for a girl’s room.
I hung pom’s (from Simply Nesting) and a tissue paper tassle garland over the crib, along with a cute cloud mobile…I wanted her to look up and just see gorgeous, bright, fluffy colors and fun!
This photo just makes me so happy because it SCREAMS whimsy and girlishness!
The bedding was custom bedding I chose after working with the LOVELY Ashley of Tushies and Tantrums on Etsy. She helped me choose fabrics and custom design the perfect bedding choices for my little girl’s nursery. It was SO much fun to consider the options and possibilities of custom crib bedding rather than trying to find a store bought option that would suite my needs. I highly recommend working with Ashley on your bedding because she’ll customize it down to the ruffle and stitch on your bedding!
Here’s a shot of the mini gallery wall I did on one side of the room. You’ll see the fun older sibling photos I took of my son for the room, as well as the Heart Air Balloon Wall art that I made in January. I got the cute little table and lamp from Home Goods as a last minute decision. That wall has the plug that allows you to flip the light on and off, so we wanted something small to hold a table lamp that we can easily turn the lights on and off when we come and go.
Looking over more, you’ll see the pretty pink glow the lamp casts on the room, as well as our open painted closet with all the fun organizers I put in there on the open shelves. The valance was also made as part of the bedding from Tushies and Tantrums to custom match the bedding and crib bumper.
We had the rocker from when my son was born…I wish it wasn’t brown, but it is what it is. My mom purchased this gorgeous crocheted pink blanket with white ruffled edges for the room. It covers the non-matching chair perfectly and is the PERFECT touch for that room!
Another look at my mini gallery wall and the side of the room…the custom embroidered name wall hanging is so pretty and I’ll share more about that next week (don’t want to give away her name yet!).
Over top of the dresser we recycled our son’s changing pad from a few years ago, hung a mirror we had in our former guest room turned son’s new room to make room for another nursery (whew, did you follow that!?). The teal lamp was a fun find at Target and the frames above the dresser are from Cut It Out. I used the frames with some prints I got off Etsy and painted them to coordinate with the room.
Here’s a closer look at the frames and prints:
I just wanted some pretty photos that coordinated nicely in the room and these fit the bill!
I put a little Erin Condren acyrlic tray on top of the dresser that’s personalized with her name and can hold some baby items like wipes, diapers, lotion, binkies, and more.
I still have an empty frame I got from Target to fill up with something…I just couldn’t pass up the mint and gold chevron combo for the little table.
I also got this cute heart basket from Target for $20! I figured we can use it for toys or dirty clothes or more as we need to…it was just too cute to pass up!
Here’s some more shots of the custom crib bedding that I’m just smitten with…I love a good mix of patterns and colors, don’t you!?
And this gorgeous quilted blanket, with a soft pink minky underside, will likely be something I save for her forever for when she hopefully has a little girl of her own!
I wasn’t sure how to do the mobile for this room since I already had the poms, but I came across this gorgeous cloud mobile and it wasn’t too big and was so simple and pretty that I just knew it had to be in her room!
So what do you guys think!??!? I am so in love with how it turned out, I know that it’s not for everyone and everyone has their different styles…some like lots of soft colors, some like just one or two colors, some like a very themed nursery while others, like me, want no theme….just want FUN and pretty.

You’ve done an AMAZING job! Love the mobile, beadboard, high shelf, poms, all of it! Thanks for letting me be a part of it!

This is absolutely precious!! LOVE the patternsand colors!
Stunning Abbey!! I hope you enjoy your time in their with your darling little baby girl:)
I love your choices, Abbey. Great finds, ideas and colors. You are going to have so many cherished hours in this nursery.
Such a beautiful room! We are in the very beginning stages of decorating a nursery. We will be foster parents soon so it will need to be gender neutral but I got so many great ideas from your nursery! We will also be using a dresser with a changing pad on top to maximize storage and minimize unneeded furniture. I love the idea of the tray to hold changing essentials! And the idea of a statement piece over the crib is genius! Congrats on your baby girl! 🙂
Absolutely adorable Abbey! Sending good labor vibes your way – praying for a healthy baby and mommy!!!
I adore this nursery so much. It is absolutely darling!
Congratulations Abbey, Casey, Andrew, and Elise,
Your mom sent me some pictures, and I am tickled pink. She is adorable, and Andrew looks proud to be her big brother. I hope things stay that way without too many little sibling rivalries. I think Elise’s bedroom is lovely, so bright and cheerful. Best wishes and God’s blessings to all of you. Much love, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Carl. Can’t wait to see her in person.
Thanks so much! xoxoox
This is gorgeous Abbey!!!! Hope your enjoying your little princess!!! xoxo
This is so cute! I have the same wire baskets for my girls’ room, but got them on clearance. They hold stuffed animals. Your color scheme is so cute and I think it all coordinates so well. Best wishes on your new little girl!
Sooooooo pretty! I love the quilt and the way the closet is organized.
