One of my favorite things in the world happen to be bright, sprinkle topped sugar cookies! There’s something so much more fun about a dessert topped with gorgeous and bright colored sprinkles, amiright?! Today I want to share with you this deliciously easy Sugar Cookie Chex Mix recipe that is easy to make and your kids will love. This is a super kid friendly recipe and I am a firm believe that everything is so much better with bright, beautiful sprinkles on top of it!m Let’s jump right in!

The recipe takes minutes to make and I had all the ingredients already on hand except for the cereal. This would be the perfect soccer game snack idea or even a birthday party favor idea for your guests!! It’s brightly colored and SO tasty!! A little goes a long way too, so you don’t need to put a ton in each bag!

How to Make Sugar Cookie Chex Mix

Start by gathering the cereal in a large bowl. In a microwave safe bowl, melt together the butter, corn syrup, and powdered sugar. Then add in the vanilla. Pour over the Chex Mix cereal and stir well. Finally, melt the white chocolate and drizzle over the cereal, adding sprinkles to the whole mixture.

What you end up with is a fun and tasty dessert that makes a great party favor or birthday party dessert idea! Use different sprinkle combinations to celebrate different occasions like red, white and blue sprinkles for Fourth of July, red and green sprinkles for Christmas, pink and red sprinkles for Valentine’s Day and more!

Ingredients

  

• 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
• 1/4 cup butter
• 2 tbsp corn syrup
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1/4 cup powdered sugar
• 1/4 cup vanilla milk chips
• 2 tsp sprinkles

Instructions

 

• Measure cereal in large microwaveable bowl. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper or foil.
• In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter uncovered on High 30 seconds or until melted. Add sugar and corn syrup; microwave uncovered on High 30 seconds until mixture is heated and can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Sprinkle with powdered sugar; mix well.
• Spread on waxed paper or foil. Microwave white chocolate on High 30 seconds or until it can be stirred smooth; drizzle over top; sprinkle with sprinkles on top.
