This week has been a whirlwind! We’ve had a rehearsal dinner, wedding, and baby shower all in the course of one weekend, so I have been a little neglectful of my blog as of late. I did want to show you a fun little baby shower gift idea that I put together for a friend this weekend. We made these at my Ladies Craft Party a few weeks ago, but I didn’t finish it up til last week, so here it is!!
I used two really great vendors to put the gift together that gave a nice mix of hand made and hand made by ME! The first part of my project is a wall hanging I made using PoppySeed Projects plaque kits and frame combination. A friend made me a quick print for the quote I wanted to frame “I’ll Love You for Always, I’ll Like You for Ever, As Long as I’m Living, My Baby You’ll Be”.
The pregnant couple isn’t finding out the gender, so I kept it gender neutral and matched the paint to the bedding they registered for at Buy Buy Baby. I also used PoppySeed Project’s texturizing cream to get my project to have a distressed look on the frame and on the polka dot board.
I love how this all turned out and I hope that my friend did too.
The next gift I got her that was hand made, but NOT by me was a gorgeous blanket, booty, and stuffed toy set from LovingBird on Etsy. Kelly, the owner of the shop, was so fantastic to work with and we had a lot of fun picking things out to make the set work with my wall art.
The blanket was embroidered with “My Baby You’ll Be” to match the wall art that I made. I AdOrE this stuff that she made! It’s gorgeous!!!
How freaking adorable are these little booties?!??!?!
For the gift, I used kraft paper to wrap the package and then I wrapped it with a strip of burlap under a strip of green ribbon, tied off at the top. I made a little felt flower to glue over top of the ribbons to give it a more complete look. And then, since the little elephant stuffed animal I got her would not fit in the box, I tied a matching green ribbon around his neck and used it to decorate the package with.
All in all, this is probably one my personal favorite gifts I have given a friend. I’ll probably get myself some of the same stuff next time I have another little one 🙂 Hope you liked the baby shower gift inspiration! Stop back later this week!

What a great gift idea! Love You Forever is one of my favourite Robert Munsch stories and still makes my Mom cry when she reads it. I bet your friend was thrilled to receive such a thoughtful gift.
Your wall art is just adorable! And the kind of thing that can be handed down through the years.
