My son is entering 1st grade this year and I took on the responsibility of PTO Treasurer. It’s my first time serving on PTO and I’m quickly learning all the ins and outs of how school financing works and the huge difference that involved parents can make to a school. We are blessed to have a very tight knit school community where parents don’t hesitate to donate their time and money for the greater good of the schools teachers and students, but one of the EASIEST things that many people often overlook are the simple extra steps they can take to redeem rewards on items they ALREADY buy! Today I wanted to share with you the Start School Like A Champion book promotion when buying participating Kellogg’s® or J.M. Smucker product at Sam’s Club®, along with this delicious Back to School snack idea for Peanut Butter and Jelly Dip!
By shopping at Sam’s Club®, I am able to get all my back to school supplies and back to school shopping done in one place and I’m set for quite a while! When I buy what I normally get for back to school I can get two free Scholastic books– one for my family and one to donate to a local school – when you buy any participating Kellogg’s® or J.M. Smucker product at Sam’s Club®. Products must be purchased now thru 9/30/16, while supplies last! Over 80 full-length Scholastic titles to choose from for beginning readers to teens!
You can redeem your free books in 3 easy steps! 1. Buy any participating Kellogg’s or The J.M. Smucker Company product by 9/30/2016 2. Upload your receipt at FreeBookOffer.com/Sams within 30 days of purchase. 3. Redeem for your free Scholastic book and one book will be donated to a local classroom as well!
Look for offers on participating products like this one on my kids other favorite snack…Cheezits!
So just think…we PTO members are always looking for ways to do more for our schools, all you have to do is buy the participating products you know and love at Sam’s Club and redeem them to earn books for both your children AND your school! If you can’t do anything else, this is at least an awesome way to give back to your school!
When I was at Sam’s Club the other day, I grabbed some JIF Peanut Butter, J.M. Smuckers Strawberry Jelly and made this great dip recipe…all while earning free books for my kids and my school in the process. This dip is the perfect way to encourage them to eat a little snack without overdoing it before dinner.
Recipe for the dip:
1 bar softened cream cheese
1 cup of JIF Peanut Butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup of Smuckers Strawberry Jelly
Mix together peanut butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until thick and creamy.
Gently stir in jelly, not completely mixing in, but enough to create “swirls” in the dip.
Serve with apples or graham crackers.
Enjoy your remaining weeks of summer!!
