Or, one of my favorite ideas is getting twine (or another type of heavy-duty string) and wrapping it through the actual cardboard toilet tissue. Screw in a hook at the level of your toilet, and there you go! For instance, this would be a great DIY idea for a farmhouse style bathroom. Rustic bathroom? Well, yes!!
Where do you put the toilet paper holder in a small bathroom?
If you’re dealing with storage solutions for TP in a small bathroom, don’t fret! While your options may seem limited in a small space, they actually aren’t.
Firstly, you have a lot of freestanding options. Here, you can find a small corner where the toilet paper stand would fit, and put it there. Usually freestanding toilet paper roll holders have extra TP storage space at the bottom, too.
Secondly, you could do an over the tank toilet paper dispenser. I’ve seen some really cute woven baskets you can place on top of the tank. Or, if you want something more permanent – you could buy an over the tank hook that physically goes into the tank. Then, your TP sits on the side. Totally practical!
Lastly, you could do a mounted option. Personally, this is my favorite. I’ve found that it makes all the difference when I’m trying to grab some TP in the middle of the night and it’s pitch dark in the bathroom. Those of you that forget to turn the bathroom lights on feel my pain, I just know you do!
If mounting, it’s usually best to mount the toilet paper holder on the wall across from the toilet. Therefore, you can reach gracefully (hah, when am I ever graceful, who am I kidding!) and swiftly grab that TP. One can dream. But seriously, mounted TP holders are the way to go.
