I told you about how I bought this Cane Chair on Craigslist the other day for $45. I’ve been seeking fabrics to recover the chair with and I finally found EXACTLY what I need from Spoonflower. I’m SO excited to debut the fabric I picked out for my chair!!
Here’s the current state of the ugly chair in all it’s poop brown glory. See the straw piping along the bottom of the chair? Consider that gone when I get my hands on this chair. Not pretty.
Forgive me, I’m just NOT a brown fan. This chair has a MAJOR makeover in it’s near future, which involves a bright white coat of paint, some light blue antiquing on the arms and legs, and some of this gorgeous new fabric to add some pizzazz and color to my already bright and happy craft room!
Hello, beautiful! The colors accent all the papers and bunting I’ve already included in the room and who doesn’t love chevron? It’s very “in” right now and the pattern will look great in my room. I couldn’t have found anything more perfect. I bought the fabric off Spoonflower, which actually hand prints the designs onto your choice of fabric. I went with a simple cotton fabric for the chair. I bought 2 yards. I can’t wait to get it. I’m thinking of ordering this pillow from Little Miss Momma for a back pillow. Do you think it would look ok together? I’m still deciding. I’d like to mix a pattern with a floral for this chair and I’m thinking this is a fresh fun look.
Thoughts?
I’m hoping to get this chair wrapped up in the next few weeks and get my craft room into some sort of workable shape by mid-October.
When we first moved into our house the previous owner had left behind an old, outdated, broken up address sign on the rock that sat outside the garage. I’m sad to admit that I have left that “address sign” on the rock for 2.5 years before I decided to discard it and do something a…
With so many weddings around this time of the year and spring, I start to try to think outside the box with wedding gifts. Being a crafter/DIYer, I try to think of USEFUL handmade gift ideas for my friends and family. So I got to thinking while at Ikea and picked up this inexpensive cutting…
Realistically – when was the last time you went to a movie theater? Chances are, due to the pandemic you’ve probably been streaming Netflix or Hulu movies off your TV for a few years now. So, why not expand that space and make a legitimate home theater room? Follow along for the best 25 basement…
Have I mentioned enough how much I love fall? I mean…I love this time of the year and the best part about it is that there are SO many different ways you can go with your decor. The typical fall decor of brilliant reds, yellows, oranges, browns is traditional and perfect to get in the…
