I told you about how I bought this Cane Chair on Craigslist the other day for $45. I’ve been seeking fabrics to recover the chair with and I finally found EXACTLY what I need from Spoonflower. I’m SO excited to debut the fabric I picked out for my chair!!
Here’s the current state of the ugly chair in all it’s poop brown glory. See the straw piping along the bottom of the chair? Consider that gone when I get my hands on this chair. Not pretty.
Forgive me, I’m just NOT a brown fan. This chair has a MAJOR makeover in it’s near future, which involves a bright white coat of paint, some light blue antiquing on the arms and legs, and some of this gorgeous new fabric to add some pizzazz and color to my already bright and happy craft room!
Hello, beautiful! The colors accent all the papers and bunting I’ve already included in the room and who doesn’t love chevron? It’s very “in” right now and the pattern will look great in my room. I couldn’t have found anything more perfect. I bought the fabric off Spoonflower, which actually hand prints the designs onto your choice of fabric. I went with a simple cotton fabric for the chair. I bought 2 yards. I can’t wait to get it. I’m thinking of ordering this pillow from Little Miss Momma for a back pillow. Do you think it would look ok together? I’m still deciding. I’d like to mix a pattern with a floral for this chair and I’m thinking this is a fresh fun look.
Thoughts?
I’m hoping to get this chair wrapped up in the next few weeks and get my craft room into some sort of workable shape by mid-October.
This was a post I did last year for Craft-O-Maniac that never made it on my own blog! Here’s my spring wreath from 2012! I’m currently working on my new 2013 wreath, but in the meantime enjoy! I thought I’d start spring off right by making a “Spring Has Sprung” wreath for my front door!…
We have an old dog that has started to experience incontinence issues these past few months due to some underlying kidney issues associated with old age (getting old SUCKS, am I right?). Poor Macy just can’t control it sometimes and has accidents in our house these days, so we’ve started to have to deal with…
This post is sponsored by Plaid Crafts, all thoughts, words, and opinions are my own. When we moved into our new house last year, we knew immediately that we had a lot of painting to do. The previous owners had painted the entire house a very dark, depressing tan. We’ve slowly been making our way…
We’ve been working hard this fall to get our house ready for the winter. When we moved into our home almost exactly one year ago, the outside was a sweet pea green…really, really ugly kind. The front garden, while well intentioned, was overgrown and something the jungle book could have been based out of, and the…
When we bought our house a year and a half ago, we knew that we had a lot of work ahead of us. We have a little ranch style house that sits on about 1.5 acres. You may even remember THIS post about the time we repainted our house, which was quite an undertaking! Well,…
Have a new little one on the way and looking for nursery inspo? Sometimes the nursery is the first thing you plan out when you see that tiny pink line, and other times it’s the last thing you check off your list. Welcoming a new member of the family is incredible, amazing, and also be a…
