I told you about how I bought this Cane Chair on Craigslist the other day for $45. I’ve been seeking fabrics to recover the chair with and I finally found EXACTLY what I need from Spoonflower. I’m SO excited to debut the fabric I picked out for my chair!!
Here’s the current state of the ugly chair in all it’s poop brown glory. See the straw piping along the bottom of the chair? Consider that gone when I get my hands on this chair. Not pretty.
Forgive me, I’m just NOT a brown fan. This chair has a MAJOR makeover in it’s near future, which involves a bright white coat of paint, some light blue antiquing on the arms and legs, and some of this gorgeous new fabric to add some pizzazz and color to my already bright and happy craft room!
Hello, beautiful! The colors accent all the papers and bunting I’ve already included in the room and who doesn’t love chevron? It’s very “in” right now and the pattern will look great in my room. I couldn’t have found anything more perfect. I bought the fabric off Spoonflower, which actually hand prints the designs onto your choice of fabric. I went with a simple cotton fabric for the chair. I bought 2 yards. I can’t wait to get it. I’m thinking of ordering this pillow from Little Miss Momma for a back pillow. Do you think it would look ok together? I’m still deciding. I’d like to mix a pattern with a floral for this chair and I’m thinking this is a fresh fun look.
Thoughts?
I’m hoping to get this chair wrapped up in the next few weeks and get my craft room into some sort of workable shape by mid-October.

I have a super easy Halloween/fall post for you today! I LOVE candy corn colors and themes, so I decided to take a jute basket I got from Pick Your Plum a few weeks ago and candy corn-ify it! 🙂 The Candy Corn Mum Planter is an easy craft for your Halloween decor! Here’s what…
Throughout the world of design, art, and fashion, boho has become a whole world of its own, a culture even. The boho aesthetic is described as free-flowing, diverse, and wildly creative, filled with warm colors and unconventional lines. To fully understand what boho aesthetic is, we need to first delve into what boho is and…
As you all know, this year is the first year I’m hosting Thanksgiving at my house. When we first made the decision to have it here, I realized one big problem…my current kitchen table only seats four people and we have six adults and one child eating here. So I started my quest to find…
We’ve been working hard this fall to get our house ready for the winter. When we moved into our home almost exactly one year ago, the outside was a sweet pea green…really, really ugly kind. The front garden, while well intentioned, was overgrown and something the jungle book could have been based out of, and the…
This post is sponsored by Plaid Crafts, all thoughts, words and opinions are my own. When we made over my daughter’s room last year, one thing I knew I needed was a place for toy storage. Our son has two cube organizers, but our daughter has none. This weekend I got to work and decided…
