DIY Christmas gifts…who can resist?! We all know holiday shopping can be fun, or it can be a chore. In my opinion it becomes a chore when we’re not quite sure what to get the people in our lives, and we want to make sure the gift is just right and they know we were thinking of them when we got it. If that’s the case, then aren’t DIY Gifts some of the best gifts you can give? I mean, what’s better than receiving a handmade gift?!

Easy to Make DIY Christmas Gifts

I’ve curated this list to include DIY Christmas gift ideas that are as easy as they are fun and beautiful. With all of the things to do around the holidays, not to mention day-to-day life, the last thing you’ll want to do is start some overly complicated project. To get the full project details click on the text just below each image. Enjoy – DIY projects can be so fun!!

#1 DIY Christmas Gifts – Simmering Potpourri

This is such a fun gift idea because it’s beautiful and you can make a batch of them a time, meaning you can knock out a group of people on your list quickly and in style.

Visit Tutorial: Christmas Simmering Pot Potpurri

You’ll need mason jars, cinnamon sticks, and faux fruit for this project.

#2 DIY Christmas Gifts – Mint Sugar Scrub

This is one that you’ll probably want to make extra of, since it’s so good you’ll want to have some for yourself as well! Nothing says luxury and pampering like a yummy smelling body scrub, and this one will transport you to a day at the spa…

And you could even try making a bath salt version of this if you wanted. Your loved ones would appreciate that, I’m sure!

Visit Tutorial: Mint Sugar Scrub

You’ll need small Bell Jars, coconut oil, sugar, and oil extract (think your favorite essential oil!), and a bit of time to make this one.

#3 Christmas Cookie Container

This one is for all of the cookie lovers in your life, they won’t be disappointed! Fill it with their favorite cookies and decorate in your own style. Easy peasy!

The ribbon really makes a statement on this project, so choose wisely! Here are some of my favorite holiday ribbons.

#4 DIY Christmas Gifts – Splatter Planter

I LOVE this one since it is oh-so-festive and yet pretty enough to have around the house year-round. And, it’s so easy you could do it in about 20 min, and it’s one of those gifts that everyone would love to get.

Visit Tutorial: Splatter Planter

You could use any planter for this project, but I do love these speckled pots you can find here.

#5 Hot Chocolate Bombs

Here’s another food DIY gift idea that will surprise and delight whoever is lucky enough to get one. Everyone loves hot chocolate, but make it an extra special drink with these super fun “bombs” that fill a mug with delicious chocolate and marshmallows.

I highly recommend using a high quality chocolate for this project, and mini marshmallows will fit into the bombs the best. Use a high quality mold to create the perfect circles, and you’ll be all set!

#6 Hot Cocoa Kit

Ok, another gift for the chocolate lovers! Hot chocolate is the epitome of winter time, and there’s nothing as cozy as a complete kit to create the perfect moment.

Visit Tutorial: Hot Cocoa Kit

I found a super cute mug that would go perfectly with the DIY Hot Cocoa Kit above, you can find it here.

#7 DIY Christmas Gifts – Glowing Photo Luminaries

Photo gifts are some of my favorite gifts to give and receive; they are personal and timely and can become family heirlooms. This project is beautiful and sure to be a hit. Plus, you can hang the keepsake as Christmas decor …

The photos you use are of course priceless, but it’s important to get a high quality glass vase to use so that the gift can truly last generations. You can find the ones below here.

#8 Resin Gingham Christmas Tray

This one is a bit more involved than some of the others, but makes a very cool gift and one you can personalize to suit anyone’s taste.

Visit Tutorial: DIY Resin Gingham Tray

We love using trays in our house for all sorts of things, so just grab your heat gun, a wood tray, and some paint to get started!

#9 Aztec Chocolate Granola Bark

Here’s another food gift (because everyone loves them!). This granola bark is crunch and delicious and healthy enough to not make you, or your gift recipient, feel guilty. A win-win! Plus, this could be a great stocking stuffer too!

For this recipe you’ll need your favorite premium dark chocolate (mine is here), and parchment paper to spread the bark on.

#10 DIY Christmas Gifts – Personalized Candles

This gift is just so so good – what better way to warm the heart than with photos of family and friends aglow with the light of a candle? Nothing, really. And, someone could use this handmade Christmas gift as home decor all year-round, not just for the holiday season. Maybe you could even make a peppermint scented one!?

#11 Homemade Soup Mix in a Jar

Because gifting food never gets old, we love this delicious and easy, not to mention colorful, gift that is the perfect way to say you care. With so many ways to add variety between colors and types of ingredients, this is one you can really have a lot of fun with.

#12 Hand Stamped Wooden Utensils

I love gifts that can be used everyday, and especially when they have some sort of personalization. This gift has both, so it’s bound to be a cherished item for that special someone on your list. Country living at its finest…these would look great being used on someone’s stovetop!

Visit Tutorial: Hand Stamped Wooden Utensils

Here is one of my favorite wooden spoon sets, perfect for this project and everyday.

#13 Pumpkin Spice Soap

The fall harvest may have ended by the time gifting season comes around, but that doesn’t mean that gifts with pumpkins and the like aren’t totally appropriate and desired; think warm and cozy and a harvest to be enjoyed all winter long.

#14 Wood Stick Hanging Frame

Art work can be very personal, but if you know someone well then you should be able to come up with either a quote or some sort of image that you know will make them smile. Complete it with a wood stick frame and voila, you’ve created the perfect gift. Plus, this is a fun Christmas craft for you to create! Put it in a gift basket and TA DA!

#15 Homemade Hand Soaps

I know, I know, here’s another soap gift. But hey, what other gift does someone actually use every day and can be appreciated as much as a cute, sweet-smelling soap? Not many, in my opinion!

diy christmas gifts

These dolls are so so fun! And, you don’t have to use pics of celebrities, you could even use photos of family or friends for a totally personalized gift, not to mention heirloom to be passed down! Here is some great thread to use for this project.

#22 Gingerbread Fudge

Food again – but this time a super special recipe that will impress even the hardest-to-shop-for person on your list. Fudge is that super special treat that you can only find so often, so to get it as a gift, especially when it looks this pretty, is very special. Enjoy, and maybe send some my way!

diy christmas gifts
Visit Tutorial: Gingerbread Fudge

Because this recipe is so simple, be sure to use premium ingredients, like my favorite white chocolate you can find here, and sweet nonpareils, found here.

#23 Pine Scented Candles

I love gifting candles just as much as I like using them in my home. There is a magic to candles, especially in the winter, that makes the home cozy and warm. These ones are especially pretty with the green and white stripes, and smell amazing too.

Visit Tutorial: Pine Scented Candles

These are oh-so-sweet and very easy. Use your favorite fabric and create a sweet gift for the homemaker in your life. Who doesn’t love Christmas ornaments as a holiday gift?!

Visit Tutorial: Fabric Covered Ornaments

#25 DIY Christmas Gifts – Agate Coasters

These coasters are as pretty as they are easy. Create the Agate version shown here, or any stone that you love. This would make for a great gift…or one of many gifts that you could put in a gift box!

Visit Tutorial: Agate Coasters

The gold liquid leaf really makes the statement here, and of course be sure to use a high quality acrylic paint to recreate that gemstone look.

In conclusion on the best DIY Christmas gifts…
