Like everyone else in the world right now, we’ve been playing at home a lot lately. That said, we do spend some time with my sister’s family, as my three year old loves to play with her cousin. Spending quality time with them is always a highlight. My nieces are 6 and 8, and they LOVE dolls and dressing up and all things pretend and play-based. I’ve been watching my nieces grow up longer than I’ve been a mom myself, and it’s always so fun to see them light up and discover new ways to play with toys that I certainly wouldn’t have thought of myself. They recently had the chance to play with the new #FailFix Total Makeover Doll. They’re made by Moose Toys, an Australian-based company that empowers girls through play. They’ve been designing award-winning toys for years and the #FailFix Dolls are their latest creation.

My nieces were super excited to start playing with the dolls, and the only thing slowing them down was the packaging, ha! As a mom, I could totally relate to the “before” look of the dolls, since most of my days involve running around and making sure everyone is clean and fed and happy. When I do get a chance to change into something other than yoga pants and a sweatshirt it feels so good. A spa treatment with a mask would be extra special, so it’s fun to see a doll that includes pampering in the agenda!

Once the girls got the dolls out, they got right to work with the makeover. Each doll comes with its own mask that transforms the doll’s face with one click – the sound effect makes all the difference. Plus, the face mask can be applied over and over again. The doll can endlessly transform from fail to fix. Next, the girls loved brushing their hair to get them from the wild mess they started with to a more tamed style.

Each of the five #FailFix dolls has an outfit that matches her personality. All the unique accessories each doll comes with made it so fun to style them and create a unique look. The glasses on @Preppi.Posh were so cute, and made her overall look so sweet. Each doll also has her own set of earrings and a little stand to set her up on. That only lasted so long, though, since my nieces couldn’t wait to play with them and give them their own spot in their dollhouses. I was truly very impressed by how much fun the girls had with these dolls – the fact that each doll had their own look and style meant that my nieces got to see that there are so many different ways to be beautiful! These must be some of the reasons #FailFix was nominated and a Finalist for Toy of the Year in the Doll Category. How many of your kids toys have been nominated for an award?! So awesome.
