Is the City Select stroller worth it?
Featuring three recline positions and a lot of leg-room for the kids – the City Select is a reliable double stroller choice. Why is UPPAbaby so popular?
UPPAbaby is a reputable baby gear brand – offering high-quality strollers and car seats. Not only are they stylish, they’re great for new parents and seasoned veterans alike. They’re made of the best materials, are long-lasting, and great for parents who will use the stroller a lot. The VISTA features a variety of multiple seating options and different facing configurations for the whole family.
Is UPPAbaby worth the price?
If you anticipate using your stroller frequently and possibly adding to your family, then yes – the VISTA is well worth the price. It’s easy to use and has so many different configurations with the car seat, toddler seat, upper seat, bassinet, and more. They also feature a 2 year warranty which is reassurance to a lot of families.
The UPPAbaby VISTA V2 is currently priced at $1,099.99 at most retailers.
Can you put UPPAbaby bassinet on City Select?
Both strollers have an infant accessory that you can put on the stroller frame. However, if you don’t want to use that particular brand – they are interchangeable with other brands. So, both strollers can be used by adding a bassinet or infant car seat. Which means – you can use both the UPPAbaby stroller & the City Select from birth!
What is the difference between the UPPAbaby VISTA and the City Select?
There are a few key differences with these strollers. We’ll start off by saying that if you’re on a budget – go with the City Select. It’s about $360 cheaper than the VISTA and still gets the job done. Plus, both strollers can seat a third child which is super convenient!
Firstly, the VISTA comes with several accessories (that offset the high price tag) such as a bassinet and many accessories. Therefore, you’re getting more bang for your buck.
Thirdly, if you anticipate using it a lot or pushing on cobblestone streets/etc, you’ll want to invest in the VISTA. It features all-wheel suspension with foam-filled wheels unlike the City Select, which is front-wheel only and has questionable plastic wheels.
Lastly, the City Select has a few other drawbacks. Belly bars are not included on the stroller seats and the plastic folding mechanism and hand brake can wear with time. Plus, the stroller is longer and heavier than the VISTA.
Which is better, the City Select or the VISTA?
If you’re on a budget – go with the City Select. However – the UPPAbaby VISTA is the much better option. It’s more durable and high-quality with less plastic materials that will wear down over time. It’s also the better investment if you’re growing your family – the bassinet and a variety of add-ons are included.
Personally, I love that it has all-wheel suspension and a three-year warranty that offers great protection.
