At the start of summer we had our newest member of the family join us, our sweet yellow lab pup, Georgia. The funny thing about dogs is that I never considered myself much of a dog person. Yes, I like dogs for sure, but I have never gone as far as to call myself a “dog mom” and most of the time our previous dogs have gravitated towards my husband. So in essence, my dog and I coexisted nicely, but we both knew that my husband was the favorite of the group. However, when we got Georgia, I think the timing of everything aligned and the very first weekend that we got our puppy, we ended up spending the whole weekend and the following weekend after that at travel baseball tournaments, which in turn made it so that I spent a lot of time “mothering” this eight week old puppy. She cuddled in my lap most of those weekends and happily trotted down the line of chairs to visit all the parents on our team, then after 20-30 minutes of play, she’d come back down and cuddle up in my lap for a two hour nap.
Georgia’s a LOT bigger these days and I have completely relearned everything there is to know about taking care of a puppy, but after all those motherly cuddles she got used to at baseball games, she now is most definitely a certified “momma’s puppy.” She follows me wherever I go! I go to the bedroom to lie down, she’s up on the bed next to me cuddling. I go into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee, there she is at my feet. I go to use the bathroom…you get the idea.
Georgia has brought a lot of joy to our lives and that puppy energy never ceases to amaze us all. We have an acre and a half and she explores it all daily, running and playing and finding sticks to bring up to the deck to chew on.
So obviously when we found out that this weekend debuts The Pack Prime Movie on Amazon, we were really excited to cuddle in as a family and watch together–with lots of Georgia cuddles OBVIOUSLY. The Pack, is a new global unscripted series that celebrates the unrivaled bond between dogs and their human companions. Hosted by Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn and her canine co-host Lucy, the series features twelve teams of dogs and their humans on an epic adventure across multiple continents. The Amazon Original series The Pack will premieres TODAY on Amazon Prime Video. At stake is a life-changing $750,000 for the winning duo and their charity, $500,000 to the winners plus an additional $250,000 prize amount for the animal charity of their choice. Additionally, The Pack donated $250,000 during filming to multiple charities and animal rescue organizations in each country, helping to pay it forward to dogs and those who love them around the world.
And to celebrate, Amazon sent us an awesome box of treats to honor the new launch of The Pack Amazon Prime Video as an ultimate celebration for dogs and humans everywhere! To say Georgia was excited for her goodies was, well, an understatement….just try taking photos of a an overly excited, rambunctious six month old puppy and see how they turn out (#notgood).
So as we all start to hunker down for the colder winter months and craziness happening around us, one way to cozy up and enjoy some family fun is to check out The Pack on Amazon Prime! We can’t wait to dig in this evening and see what it’s all about!

Spring time is a time for fresh starts and many of us are starting the process of de-winterizing our homes. Maybe you’re decluttering your basement or garage? Maybe you’re starting to go through your old clothes to make space for your summer wardrobes? Maybe you’re starting the deliberate process of deep cleaning your homes…whatever the…
On Thanksgiving my family likes to eat, drink, watch football, and enjoy each others company. My husband gets up at 5 a.m. each Thankgiving to smoke our turkey and I’m usually up making desserts for later in the day and getting ready for my family to arrive. The kids typically are watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving…
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of On-Cor. The opinions and text are all mine. One of our goals for 2018 is to spend LESS and our biggest issue with spending stems from wasted food, eating out, and splurging a little too often on coffee. So we started 2018 with a mission to…
I feel like one of the HARDEST things to do in my house is to plan out our weeks. I always come up with a reason why I’m not prepared, which just starts my week out spinning downwards rapidly. The only way for me to take control of our busy work week’s is to plan…

However, sometimes that excitement comes at a high cost if you’re too lost in it. The main reason people regret their trips is because they make mistakes that translate into significant…
