Romantic Bedroom Decor Ideas

Wanting some romantic bedroom decor ideas but not sure where to start? No matter your relationship status, everyone deserves to have that romantic feel in their bedroom. Whether you want to add just a small bit of romantic touch or you want your bedroom look to be full boudoir theme; we’ve got great decor ideas for you! Therefore, keep reading if you’re wanting to add some romance to your bedroom design.

What colors would be romantic for a bedroom?

Of course, you should always go with a color palette that feels right to you. However, traditionally, romantic rooms follow a very warm palette. We’re talking romantic reds, that blushing pink, darker blue and lighter brownish/orange tones. Personally, I’m a big fan of the blushing pink color. For instance, it’s feminine, sophisticated and romantic, yet not TOO romantic.

What is romantic bedroom decor?

For many, romantic home decor is very soft and pleasing to the eye. We’re talking pastel colors, floral patterns and lots of lace. I also tend to think sheer curtains when visualizing that dreamy bedroom. However, it’s really up to you. So if you want a canopy bed, do it. If you want a DIY sign about your eternal love, do it. Making your bedroom romantic is different for everyone!

How can I make my master bedroom romantic?

Making your bedroom romantic can seem like a daunting task. However, it’s a lot easier (and fun!) than it looks. Follow these interior design tips and you’ll have some great romantic bedroom decorating ideas in no time.

Firstly, decide on the aesthetic that you’re going for. Are you going for airy silk sheets with lighter pastel colors? Or are you going for a more dramatic, darker ambiance for your bedroom look? Therefore, to maximize resources, I suggest sticking to a specific color scheme.

Secondly, after you’ve decided on your aesthetic, it’s time to measure. If you have a small bedroom, you want to make sure that the pieces you are buying will fit into that space. I remember one time I bought this beautiful bed frame. I was SO excited, but I hadn’t measured before hand. When I got home, it didn’t fit. So, save yourself from disappointment and MEASURE!

Thirdly, decide on a budget. If you know that you will be limited by a budget, it’s smart to look at furniture pieces that will make your inspired bedroom come alive, but are also budget friendly. Think faux fur throw pillows instead of splurging on expensive real fur.

Lastly, look at the pieces you’ve picked out. Are you happy with the romantic vibe you have created in your sleeping space? Again, designing a romantic bedroom or adding romantic pieces is all about YOU!
