It’s just in the past week that I’ve been really thrown into the world of being the parent of a school aged child and with that, I’m learning all sorts of new things about school, PTO’s, and more. But one thing I already knew about, but just now have a vested interest in is learning more about the General Mills® Box Tops™ for Education Program. I talked about it briefly the other day and today I’m taking it to a WHOLE new level by finding a fun way to get kids and parents both remembering to collect their box tops.
To refresh your memory, box tops are located on select boxes of General Mills® brands…including cereals, granola bars, fruit snacks, dinner side dishes, and many many more. I was SHOCKED at the list of items that I normally purchase that have Box Tops for Education. All YOU have to do is clip those box tops, turn them into your school, and they redeem them for COLD HARD CASH!! SO simple, yet maybe some of you don’t even realize you’re throwing cash out by not doing a couple quick snips!! And the best is when you find a box (like above) with MULTIPLE box tops!! That money adds up very quickly for your school with each box top being worth $0.10!
In my personal experiences, the way to people’s hearts is thru their stomach…so what better way to remind them of their duty to their school than to make a quick treat and use this FREE PRINTABLE to encourage them to save their box tops!!
I made Lucky Charms treats…the same way you make a rice treat, but using Lucky Charms. Then I printed off these free printable tags and you can either use it as a sign or you can make individual treats to send home with students to remind them and their parents about Box Tops for their school!
So truly “Be YOUR school’s Lucky Charm and don’t forget to save your Box Tops for Education!”…
