There are so many fun ideas! We’ve listed our favorite ten things to do around Bozeman with a toddler – anytime of the year.
1. State of Play is Bozeman’s newest space for kids, specifically the 6 month to 5 year old crowd. This space has been thoughtfully curated to cater to the natural curiosity of kids and babies. They offer play sessions throughout the day, and with rotating activity and art stations, no two sessions will ever be the same. Book a session at State of Play here.
2.The Museum of the Rockies is a must-do! It’s located over by Montana State University and is great for family fun. Go check out the dinosaurs and the planetarium!
3. A hike can be challenging with little ones, but if you’re going to brave it – we suggest Palisade Falls. It’s up Hyalite Canyon and has a beautiful waterfall at the end. One of the best toddler activities or hikes around Bozeman!
4. Bogert Pool/Park is a great option if you want to go swimming during the summer or just play at the park during spring. It’s a great outdoor activity to keep your toddler busy. There is the pool complex, a playground, as well as a creek running through the west side of the park.
5. The Montana Science Center is another museum off W Main Street in Bozeman. It has hands-on, sensory exhibits that are sure to get your child’s imagination going. It’s a great children’s museum near downtown Bozeman – one of our favorite toddler activities in town! .
6. Take a day trip (or a few days) and go up to Yellowstone National Park! It’s fascinating for kids of all ages – make sure to check out Old Faithful.
7. Bozeman Public Library is another favorite for everyone. It’s located next to Lindley Park, so grab a book and go sit under the trees and read! It’s a great winter activity when it’s chilly outside.
8. Gallatin County Regional Park is another great option for a toddler activity in Bozeman. They have a Dinosaur themed playground, a dog park, bike and walking trails, as well as ponds for fishing. This is also a great spot for sledding in winter.
9. Take a day and go explore the Gallatin River! You don’t need to go fly fishing (although you can) to have a ton of fun.
10. If you’re feeling adventurous, check out Madison River Tubing. The minimum age is 3 years old on all of their tubing trips. Rafting is so much fun!
