Florida is my happy place. I have family in Florida, my brother got married on a beach in Florida, and we adore that one of a kind Florida ambiance with the palm trees, gorgeous beaches, and delicious food. Maybe you’re looking to vacation somewhere with your family this summer, maybe you’re already going to Florida and need some tips…whatever the case may be, I’m here to help! Today I’m going to give you some quick tips for visiting Daytona Beach including places to go and things to do!
Hit the Beach, Jack.
Obviously when taking a Florida vacation, the awesome beaches are to be expected. So start your trip off with a visit to the amazing beaches and parks that Daytona Beach has to offer! The Daytona Beach area has more than TEN Beachfront Parks with picnic areas, pavilions, boardwalks, and more…so if a relaxing beach vacation is what you had in mind, you’ve started off on the right foot! Definitely check out Lighthouse Point Park and Smyrna Dunes Park as two of the local favorites!

Embrace the outdoors.
Daytona Beach has so many awesome outdoor activities to offer. Maybe you enjoy fishing, boating, surfing, paddle boarding…you name it, you can find it in Daytona Beach! My favorite on vacation is parasailing or going out on a river cruise. Both are great ways to do something special with your family and really make memories!

Think outside the box.
The great thing about Daytona Beach is that ON TOP OF all the fun things it has to offer, as being ranked Travel Channel’s 2017: Top Attractions in Florida award, it also has great proximity to even more great Florida options–so you can have your Daytona Beach and experience a little more of Florida too.
Value AND Fun in One!
Maybe you’re looking for a value packed vacation with loads of fun things to do, an easy way to recharge and reconnect with your family, but not break the bank. Daytona Beach has a great list of F-R-E-E FREE things to do on your vacation that your whole family will enjoy. When you can take your family on a great vacation and embrace your budget, that’s always a good thing. Take in a concert, enjoy the beach, enjoy a free summer kids movie, tour their local chocolate factory, or stop by the botanical gardens…OR just relax on the beach, take in the sun and the waves, and grab a bite to eat at new local restaurant each night. Either way, you have it all in one place. If you’re looking for a great family vacation this summer…look no further, my friends!
