My kids are ALWAYS wanting me to make things just for them or help me with project ideas, so this was a fun little project I did for my daughter’s coloring table this week using an inexpensive $1 tablecloth, a super cute Martha Stewart stencil (from her new line out at Michaels), and new Martha Stewart Acrylic paints! The whole thing took no time at all to make and can be customized to your kids favorite colors!! Let’s see how simple this stenciled dog tablecloth was to make!
What you need for this post:
Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Acrylic Paint (colors used: Fire Opal, Deep Sea Blue and Royal Gold)
Martha Stewart Adhesive Paper Stencils (from Michaels)
Martha Stewart Bottle Toppers
Tablecloth
The new Martha Stewart line of stencils are SO amazing you guys. So much cuteness it’s hard to even describe, but my favorites are these cute animal stencil. They are paper stencils, but they have a peel off adhesive backing to them and are reusable!
Martha Stewart also has a new bright, cheerful palette of multi surface acrylic paints– over 80 colors available now!! You can use them on any surface including wood, terra cotta, ceramic, glass and tin and they are available in six beautiful finishes: satin, glitter, pearl, metallic, neon, and glow-in-the-dark! They are perfect for use with stencils and tools!
Overall there are 168 new additions in the Martha Stewart line, including new silkscreens, which are great for achieving highly detailed designs with ease. So much fun stuff all at Michaels!
How to:
Choose the stencil you want to use and cut out the pieces you intend to use for your project. Remove the adhesive backing from the stencil and place directly onto your surface. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they come off amazing easily and are perfect for multiple uses!
I then used the new bottle toppers from the Martha Stewart collection and just placed them directly onto the bottle, which is SO super easy to do!
The next step is to literally just dab the paint onto the tablecloth using the stencils. I used three different dogs and rotated them around the bottom of the tablecloth re-using the stencils each time.
Martha Stewart’s new line has SO many different cute, trendy stencils that would be great for themed parties, stylish personalized backpacks, as well as unique wall art. And with all the colors available, you can choose literally any color you want to go with your style!!
Soooo cute Abbey!! I love this cute little tablecloth – the dogs are so fun!!
Thank you for telling me about the new stencils and paints by Martha Stewart. You don’t even need a paint brush if you use the bottle toppers.
