I’m here today to share a fun Snowflake Jingle Bell Frame home decor craft with you that’s perfect for the holidays and for winter! It’s easy and fun and will add a little sparkle and cheer to your gift giving this season!
This frame was really easy to make and it’s very cost affordable too if you’re looking for a fun handmade gift idea with a budget in mind!
Here’s what you need for this project:
Cut It Out Frame (or other frame)
Two colors of craft paint, I used a sea blue and pearl for this frame
Martha Stewart stencil with snowflakes in the pack
Paint brush
Bells
Ribbon
Aleene’s Max Adhesive Glue
Tweezers
Hot Glue
Glitter
My first step was to paint the frame with 2 coats of paint. You will notice in the photos that you can see the brush strokes on the frame, so if you’re not in line with that look you could always sand it a little in between coats to lighten those strokes up a bit.
After letting it dry, I applied my snowflakes with a Martha Stewart stencil and pearl Martha Stewart paint. It gives the snowflakes a nice sheen to them even on flat surfaces.
I tried to vary the layout and placement of my snowflakes and let them dry for about 30 minutes. During that time I applied 3 varied lengths of ribbon to my bells and tied them up top in a knot to be hung. Then I took my Aleene’s Max Tacky Adhesive Glue, tweezers, and rhinestones and used the tweezers to pick up the rhinestone, dip it in a little glue, and apply it to the snowflakes in the center and around all the edges.
I repeated this step for all my snowflakes. The reason I chose not to use hot glue for this step is because the Aleene’s is very easy to work with and doesn’t have the gummy strings that the hot glue would have.
Here’s the finished look before I add GLITTER!
I hung my bells using a big dab of hot glue on the back of the frame. You could/should probably paint the back of the frame if you’re giving this as a gift. *Kind of an afterthought when writing this post!*
Then I added a little glitter to my frame by using the Aleene’s to make a few outlines of the snowflakes and then following up with fine glitter to the frame.
And there’s the finished product! I envision this hanging on the door to my den, my sliding glass door, or maybe even my fridge. The possibilities are endless!
I hope you all enjoyed my Snowflake Jingle Bell Frame decoration!
