Here’s a fun project I made this week, in honor of Dr. Suess’ birthday, using my amazing Silhouette and my vinyl…

I’m a huge fan of Dr. Suess quotes, so it was really hard to decide on just one, but I went with “Oh the Places You’ll Go…” I wanted to keep it simple with red and teal and lots of pretty clouds as the background.

It was so easy to make using my Silhouette and the new Designer Software!!

I used my Silhouette to download and cut out clouds…I painted the top of the board white first, added the clouds, then applied teal paint to the top of the board.

Once the paint was dry, I removed the clouds and then cut some vinyl with the “Oh the places you’ll go…” words. I added the vinyl onto the board and painted the words on with red paint.

After that I pulled the vinyl off and painted the edges of the board red to make the top pop some more…

You can see I smudged it a little bit, but otherwise I love it’s simplicity and the message from Dr. Suess (huge Dr. Suess fan here!).

It’s SO easy to make signs like this for your home using your Silhouette and the new Designer Addition Software is so great!!!
