Mini Frame Jewelry Holder

Mini Frame Chicken Wire Jewelry Holder from The Cards We Drew

We've been in our house nearly four years now and just about every room has been updated and redecorated since we moved in...with the exception of our bedroom. The thing is, I LOVE our bedroom. The previous owners had purple and fuchsia stripes in the bedroom that we painted over using a color that match Pottery Barn's Porcelain Blue color. So now that I'm working on some bedroom updates, I thought I'd share this fun little project that I made to help organize stuff that usually ends up on top of our dressers. Using an assortment of mini frames from Cut It Out, I created this mini frame jewelry holder with chicken wire to help me organize … [Read more...]

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #PrepWithPower #CollectiveBias Living in Central Ohio, we have had our fair share of bad storms over the years. It seems that at least once a year for the past few years we have experienced very bad windstorms that take down houses, power lines, trees, and more. Last year we had such a bad storm that it took a matter of days for the electric company to get the power back on. We had a neighbors trampoline from nearly 10 houses down land in our backyard!! After our experiences with several bad storms and a young child (now childREN) I … [Read more...]

Cut It Out Wooden Letter Name Sign

Elise Sign from Cut It Out Letters

A few months ago I finished up my daughter's nursery...I love how it turned out and it's still the prettiest room in the house for sure. But I really love personalized options for my kid's room. So when I found these adorable letters from Cut It Out Frames I decided to create a little wall art using her name. I used six different fabrics for the bedding in the room and with the help of my friend at Tushies and Tantrums I created the perfect bedding set for her room! When her bedding was done, I got online and ordered a bit of each fabric she used so I could use it for other projects as I saw fit...and it came in PERFECT for this … [Read more...]

With spring making an appearance finally, I was just talking to my mom about how I really want to spruce things up a bit in my home. If you haven't noticed on my blog, I'm not one to change things up a lot seasonally...I've always just kind of found a look I like and leave the room that way most of the year, except for during Christmas. We've been in this house for four years now and once I got my living room styled, it's stayed that way for years. And now...now, I'm ready to mix things up. Since new furniture isn't in the budget, I figure I'll change things up easily with new throw pillows, some updated lamps other than the ones we've had … [Read more...]

Scalloped Table Revamp from Confessions of a Serial DIYer

Scalloped-Table-a1

Hi everyone! I'm Christy and I blog at Confessions of a Serial Do-it-Yourselfer. I am so excited to be guest posting for Abbey today so she can squeeze in a few more days with her bundle of cuteness. Today I'm sharing a sweet table I redid for my last show. I found it at an estate sale last summer. The house I found it at looked like time had stood still and nothing had been touched in several decades. You seriously could have put up velvet ropes at each door way and called it a museum! It creeped my mom out, but I was mesmerized. Here it is in all it's dusty glory: I painted it with my DIY chalk paint and found a French graphic … [Read more...]

It's easy to lose … [Read more...]

There's nothing like a "free" craft, right? :) Materials: One yard of fabric Sewing machine or iron on fusible webbing How to: First measure your pillow insert and add two inches to the height and width. This will be your first piece. Cut a second piece using your first piece for a template but add 4-6 inches to the length. Cut that piece roughly in … [Read more...]
