Every year it’s like a race to the finish to get ready for Thanksgiving. You have the cleaning to do, the grocery shopping, preparing your house for guests, picking the perfect tablescape, getting the turkey dethawed and ready to go, so much work for ONE meal! Because I like to make things easy sometimes, I wanted to come up with a cute and simple Thanksgiving Dessert idea for the kids to enjoy after dinner this year. These are SO easy to make and my kids absolutely loved them! You can make these cute little Thanksgiving Brownie Turkeys with a boxed brownie mix, some icing, and a little imagination. Nothing from scratch here, which gives you a little sigh of relief since you have approximately one million other things to tackle during Thanksgiving week! Check out how we made these sweet little Thanksgiving Brownie Turkey desserts.
Thanksgiving Dessert Idea
These are literally the easiest to make. I used a box brownie mix and made it according to the instructions on the box, then I poured it into individual cupcake liners and baked according to box instructions.
After they came out of the oven, I used a spoon to push the center down a bit, then I added my candy corns around the edges of the “turkey”. This is easier to do when the brownies are still warm versus completely cooled so that the candy corns go in easily.
Next you’ll add a dollup of frosting to the center and add your turkey’s eyes, nose, and “feathers”….
One you’re done, package them up and let people enjoy your cute little creation! These are fun things to do on Thanksgiving Day even to let the kids decorate their own turkeys…all in all, a fun Thanksgiving dessert idea!
