Hey guys, I’m so sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything interesting on here. Sometimes life catches up with you and you just need a break. I have had plenty of projects running behind the scenes though, I just needed a nice Ohio weather day to spray paint the last part of my lamp makeover to share it with you guys! Today was amazing, so I took the chance to spray paint and photograph the finished product.
Here’s the plain Jane lamp I started out with.
This lamp has just been sitting in storage in my basement since we moved to our house two years ago. I knew I needed a lamp for my craft room, so I decided I should make use of what I have and make it over. It’s not a bad little lamp, it’s just very plain. So here’s what I did…
Items Needed:
Ruffled “ribbon” fabric sold by the yard at JoAnn’s
Ric Rac sold by the yard at JoAnn’s
Hot Glue
Fabric remnants
Buttons
I started by hot gluing the ruffled fabric to the inside of my lamp shade.
From there I added ric rac around the top and bottom of the shade.
So, what do you think? I’m kinda in love with it. Oh and if you don’t notice the hint of yellow, I went with the yellow Urban Outfitters chevron rug for my craft room! I just have ONE chair to refinish soon and then I can debut the whole room! Super excited, it’s only been 8 months in the making! š
Later this week I’ll have some fun stuff to show you for a bridal shower I’m helping out with this weekend!
xoxo
