This post is sponsored by Plaid Crafts, all words and opinions are my own.
Last spring I had the amazing opportunity to fly into Atlanta and spend two whole days touring the Plaid Crafts headquarters and seeing all the magic that happens behind closed doors to give us some of the best crafting supplies on the planet. While we were there, I met up with 9 other creative bloggers, like myself, and we created a vision for a room design with each of us collaborating and creating our own aspects of the room! Talk about 10 ladies + a large organization, like Plaid, coming up with an agreed upon design aesthetic and trying to coordinate it six months out from all corners of the United States, but I’m happy to report…we did it!! Today I want to show you the Plaid Creators Room Reveal and to celebrate, we have a great giveaway for you guys!!
First I’ll show you all the amazing things that were created for the space with links to the blogs where you can find out how to create those items, then you’ll see how I created my basket for this space, and finally onto the giveaway!!
Here’s the whole space, as staged at Erin’s house of Erin Spain.com. She is based out of Atlanta and her house ended up being perfect for the Plaid team to stage our creations!! CAN YOU EVEN GET OVER THAT CARD CATALOG?!
So that’s the amazing room–I just love Erin’s couches, but would you know that the rest of the items were all created by the Plaid team?! Here’s some information about each project, starting with my own.
I created the striped basket below the card catalog. Details on that simple project and how I did it below….
How dreamy is that gorgeous gold leafed planter and those awesome handmade pillows?!
Another fun element is the stenciled lamp and side table….it’s really cool to see how all the unique patterns that we all used played out in such a cohesive way!! So many textures and hues that all coordinate so nicely!
For the coffee table and card catalog, two creators crafted up these gorgeous crate centerpieces. They’re just gorgeous!!
And my favorite part of this collaboration–the gallery wall. Which you can WIN if you enter at the bottom of this post! How fun is that?!
Here’s the simple details on how I created my Striped Basket.
Supplies:
FolkArt Acyrlic Paint in Ash and White
Plaid Brush Set
Basket
Small Boxwood Wreath (found on DecorSteals)
Hot Glue/Glue Gun
I started by painting the rim of the basket, carefully following the lines that were already woven into the basket.
I did every other row all the way down the basket, carefully following the lines that were already woven in.
Once I made it all the way down, I hot glued a small boxwood wreath onto the front of the basket. I got the wreath off of Decor Steals some time back and it seemed like the perfect way to finish off the basket and tie in that pop of green we were all using.
Fill it with your favorite blanket and you’re all set!!
