The Nanit is one of the best smart baby monitors on the market. Not only does it provide great video quality, it also uses a breathing band to gain further insight into your baby’s breathing. We know it can be challenging on deciding which is the best baby monitor (so many on the market!) – so we’ll be doing a Nanit Baby Monitor review for you below.

How does the Nanit Monitor work?
For starters, this monitoring system has all the same basic features that a regular video stream monitor does. You can watch your little one through a high-quality live stream and it has two-way audio so you can talk and hear your baby.
Here’s where the Nanit Pro takes the typical video feed to a whole other level. Through the Nanit app (compatible with iPhone (ios) and Android) – the video baby monitor actually tracks sleep habits and breathing patterns. It then saves this information into the cloud. Meaning, it alerts you with notifications and suggestions on how to improve your baby’s sleep.
Additionally, when you buy a Nanit – it includes a yearly subscription to Nanit Insights. This not only gives you the daily sleep pattern report – but goes further to recommend suggestions on how to improve your baby’s sleep quality. This year of Nanit Insights is extremely helpful and is one thing that sets the Nanit apart from other brands.

Is Nanit being discontinued?
Don’t worry – the Nanit Pro and the Nanit Plus are not being discontinued. The Nanit Original was discontinued a few years ago – but since then the camera has created a few different versions that offer great performance.
Why is the Nanit the best?
If you’re looking for a smart baby monitor that uses breathing wear to monitor your baby’s breathing and offers sleep tracking advice – then the Nanit is certainly for you.
Not only does it offer next level picture quality, it provides great peace of mind for old and new parents alike. You can monitor the room temperature, use the Nanit breathing wear to track their movements, and even put on nature sounds as background audio to help them fall asleep faster.
Some parents aren’t a fan of the breathing wear – but I think Nanit offers so many different options that there is something for everyone. If your little one doesn’t like the swaddle – then you can simply wrap the sleep sack around them. It’s just that simple to track their breathing motion.
And then, if you see an irregular breathing motion – you don’t have to go to Google to try and figure out what’s going on. Through WiFi connection and Nanit Insights – you’ll be able to receive a detailed report of what’s going on with your baby and how you can improve some of their irregular patterns (if any).
Is the Nanit accurate?
The Nanit is extremely accurate. In addition to monitoring breathing patterns, it will also gauge the room temperature and humidity levels. Plus, you can decide if you want to install it using a multi-stand floor stand or have it wall mounted above your baby’s crib.
How safe is the Nanit monitor?
The Nanit camera features 256-bit encryption – so it’s extremely safe. IP addresses can’t be hacked – so don’t worry about anyone looking in or receiving pertinent information about your child.
