You know you have a lot of craft supplies when you can shop your own craft room and make new discoveries for easy projects. I was looking for ideas this weekend and came across these cute little paper clips I got from my SNAP Conference swag bag that Pick Your Plum provided. I haven’t done anything with them yet, so I decided to make Easy Paper Clip Spiders as a fun 5 minute Kids Halloween Craft. They literally are SO easy to make and my son thinks they’re pretty cool (he keeps trying to scare us with them).
WHAT YOU NEED:
Paper Clips with some kind of place to attach things at the top OR add your own piece of cardboard to the top for the spider base
Hot Glue
Black Pipe Cleaners
Small Black Poof Balls
Small Eyes
HOW TO MAKE:
Start by cutting three small lengths of pipe cleaner. The measurements can vary depending on the size of your black “poof” so just kind of eyeball what will look best. Mine were probably two inches long. The top and the bottom pipe cleaners were folded in half and the middle one was left straight.
Hot glue your top and bottom pipe cleaners on first and then add the center (straight) pipe cleaner and let cool for a minute or so.
From there add your black poof ball on top with hot glue and let the whole thing dry. Once dry, add the eyes and then slightly bend each of the end of the leg downwards to make the legs look more like legs…here’s the end result:
You can use these for little Halloween gifts or for Halloween bookmarks:
There you have it…a fun five minute Halloween craft that doesn’t involve candy or things that are gonna spook your kiddos. Enjoy!
Cute Abbey!! So perfect for my Kindie class- pinning!!
This is really adorable. Cutest spiders, I’ve ever seen! Thanks for sharing with us.
Such a cute, cute project! But another pair of legs need to be added since it’s a spider – 8 legs required! Thank you again for the great craft!
LOL! Details, details š Thanks for the heads up!
