Cricut Maker Review
This Cricut Maker Review is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.
You guys, I feel SO giddy to have finally gotten the opportunity to play with a Cricut Maker over the holidays!! I have some fun Cricut DIY scrapbooking projects and Cricut vinyl decal ideas coming up soon. But first I want to tell you a little bit about the Cricut Maker. I want to give an honest review of the Cricut machine and all the reasons I love it so much. It’s definitely a step above and beyond other cutting machines capabilities. So let me share with you all the reasons the Cricut Maker is totally worth the money! Crafters – listen up!
What does the Cricut Maker Come With?
The Cricut joy maker comes with a great welcome guide, a book full of project ideas, and a website with tons of cut files, inspiration ideas, templates, stickers, stencils and more. In the past, I’ve felt very lost when I’ve opened “competitor” cutting machines. It’s like they give you this beautiful, expensive machine and then say…good luck! But not with the Cricut Maker. Cricut takes the time to make you feel welcome and like you’re one of the clan when you open up the package…seriously a game changer. This machine screams versatility.
Cricut provides you with samples of fabric and paper that you can practice on. This way you’re not wasting precious materials practicing on using the machine! It’s kind of like opening the box and getting a high five and a “you can do it” from Cricut outright. They want you to succeed and be successful with using the machine. Therefore, the way that they package the products and structure their website shows that. It screams simplicity – which is great.
Allll the different materials…
I love the vast array of products available with the machine. They’ve literally thought of everything. It’s not limited to paper and vinyl, it can cut fabric, felt, balsa wood, thicker materials, leather and more!! They have different wheels to accomplish different things too, which I really love. I especially love their different blades to cut fabric – like the bonded fabric blade, the premium fine-point blade, the deep point blade, the rotary blade and the knife blade. Seriously, you can just make some cutting space and get to work 🙂
Next let’s chat about vinyl. Cricut has EVERY.DIFFERENT.TYPE of vinyl you can think of for your projects. They have patterned vinyl, glittered vinyl, iron on vinyl, strong bond vinyl, and so much more!! I was really impressed with the amount of vinyl they have to choose from, but even more importantly…all the tools that make using vinyl easier (like vinyl cutters)!!
Cricut makes an Easy Press 2 that helps adhere heat transfer vinyl easier and they also have the GENIUS BrightPad that helps you see your vinyl pattern to make weeding it easier!! You can also use it for tracing and other crafty things! Seriously – the new cricut maker machine is so awesome.
So…
Here’s the thing about the Cricut Maker and Cricut in general…it’s VERY well thought out and it’s like they truly have though of everything to make you succeed with their machine and their products. They give you tons of tutorials (like on die cutting!), inspiration, and cut ideas and there are many SUPER talented bloggers out there with loads of tutorials to get you started too (hopefully I’ll be one of those soon!).
I cannot WAIT to try cutting some of the more unique items like leather and felt and basswood…so those are on my to do list first thing! If you’re wanting to get crafty – maybe you’re changing your home decor, are a quilter or love sewing patterns, enjoy paper crafts and making your own designs…either way this little machine is great for it all. It’s Android and IOS (even iPad) accessible – it can connect via Bluetooth and an adapter/USB port, which is great. Go to cricut.com (or Amazon), buy your machine, get your cricut design space and cutting mat ready and get to using this new machine! We hope you loved this Cricut Maker Review!
