Today I’m getting a little personal with you fellow mommies who maybe have similar issues to what I struggle with since having kids–that mommy tummy. That pooch that never will go away despite how much weight I do (or don’t) lose. I’m 3 1/2 years postpartum (can you even say you’re postpartum anymore at that point?) and I’m at my worst right now when it comes to weight and fitness. As a result, even more so than before, my mommy tummy gives me the 6 month pregnant look on the daily. Even before I had my second, I can recall being 2 years postpartum and have someone as me when I was due. It was mortifying. At this juncture in my life, nearing my 35th birthday in a few weeks, I know I’m at a point where I need to start focusing on my health and wellness. I not only need to lose weight, but I need to start with strengthening my core before I feel like I can start hard back working out. There are lots of things out there including splinting and other expensive alternatives and programs to help fix this, but I wanted to give the Abs Core and Pelvic Floor Program a try by authors Natalie Hodson and Dr. Monique Middlekauff.
How to Fix Diastasis Recti
Natalie Hodson teamed up with Dr. Monique Middlekauf, a specialist in pelvic floor dysfunction, to create a 30 day program called Abs, Core & Pelvic Floor to help women address diastasis recti, pelvic floor issues, including incontinence. How many of you, like me, will sneeze or be working out the wrong way and all of a sudden you feel like you’re going to pee yourself (or maybe you already did)? If you raised your hand, this program is for you.Â
IÂ like that for this program I can access it on my phone or on my iPad so I can read/watch the program at my convenience.
I also liked that this 30 day program has lots of educational material to help the reader understand the causes of Diastasis Recti and how to heal. I believe that my Diastasis Recti on top of added weight is what is to blame for my prolonged pregnant look.Â
The best part is that this program can be done in the comfort of your own home on your own schedule–I like to head home after work and spend a few minutes working on it. You’ll not only get a printable program, but you also get access to videos to further assist in understanding the exercises and how to engage the affected muscles.
I’m starting my 30 day journey with the Abs, Core, and Pelvic Floor program in hopes of improving my core strength and correcting my abdominal muscles, if you’re in the same situation as me, I encourage you to check out the program HERE for more information! I’ll check back in 30 days with a program update on my progress!
How did this program work for you? I have similar issues and would love to hear whether or not you found it helpful.
I would like to know as well if this worked. I am 2 1/2 years post partum and need something that works. Please let us know!
How come after all the money put out to have a baby and do everything for them, we have to pay to get our bodies back or do something for ourselves? Where are the free programs for moms? Stop charging for something that is made to you help women out there that are in need!
Hi Sherry, as I would say to my son…”Nothing in life is free” 😉 I’m sorry you’re frustrated, but the women that developed this program have to get paid for their hard work putting the program together, just like the rest of us do. I’m sure you can find something for free or books at the library that can assist. But unfortunately this program is not free. I wish you all the best in your search.
Hi – I’m trying to decide whether to buy this program, and funds are extremely limited. How well did this work for you?
Thanks!
Sarah
I am curious as to how much of a difference you have seen and felt.

Curious how this program worked for you. We’d love to hear your review of it as many of us moms struggle with this very same issue. Thanks for your suggestion.
