Slow Cooker Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake
This Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake recipe is made in a slow cooker and is gooey chocolate masterpiece that is amazing topped with ice cream and served warm!
Servings 8 people
- 1 21 oz can cherry pie filling
- 1 Devil's Food Cake Mix (Plus ingredients needed to make according to package instructions)
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocoloate chips
- ice cream for serving
Spray a large slow cooker insert with cooking spray and spread the cherry pie filling across the bottom.
Prepare devil's food cake according to package instructions. Pour batter over the cherry filling + smooth out to cover cherries. Cook on low for 3-5 hours, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Mine took about 4.5 hours.
Once cooked through, remove the lid and + turn off the slow cooker. Prepare icing by stirring milk and chocolate chips in a medium saucepan over medium heat until melted.
Once melted, pour icing over the cake. It makes a lot of icing, so feel free to save some of it for serving.
Spoon Cake into serving bowls and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
