Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken

  • 4 large fresh chicken breasts
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • salt and pepper, to taste


  • In your crockpot, place 4 large chicken breasts (fresh, not frozen), two cups of chicken stock, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook on low setting for six hours.
  • At the six hour mark, use two forks to shred the chicken, then continue to cook on low for another hour.
  • Use chicken immediately or store in freezer-safe bags for later.
