It’s the first Wednesday of the month and you know what that means?! Blog hop time! I’ve teamed up with my blogging friends to bring another themed roundup of ideas for this month! And this month we decided to share some BBQ Ideas with all of you hoping to make your next summer BBQ easier than ever! As part of the hop, check out my Grilled Veggie Wrap idea below, then scroll down to find links to what my friends made!! Grilled Veggie Wraps are a staple in my family for grilling, camping, BBQ’s and more. We’re actually up at the lake right now as I speak and we made these last night for dinner! They’re SO easy and you can add virtually anything you want. The best part is that once you’ve eaten them, you just pitch it out! It’s an “eat out of the foil” type dinner and pitch when you’re done! Easy Peasy! Here’s what you’ll need: Veggies of your choice, we used (because that’s what we had on hand):
- Canned green beans
- Canned corn
- Canned potatoes
Other veggie ideas: onions, tomatoes, carrots, asparagus, etc. Butter Seasonings: onion powder, garlic salt, Montreal Steak seasoning, salt, pepper, cajun seasoning Tin Foil How to: Break off a large piece of foil and start by adding a large chunk of butter to it (if you’re especially health minded you could always substitute olive oil, but the butter really makes this recipe). Next you start adding your veggies to the foil on top of the butter. We add a few spoonfuls of each veggie. I would estimate you can get about 3 veggie wraps out of 3 cans of vegetables. You can also use fresh veggies too, we just use the cans because it’s easier when camping. After you add all your veggies, you’ll want to season them well. We add a variety of seasonings like cajun, onion powder, garlic salt, and montreal steak seasoning. Next we wrap our wrap up…see as follows First you want to make a tent out of your foil rolling it up across the top length wise. After that you’ll roll the ends up really well too. You want to make sure it’s sealed tight so you don’t lose your juices or have it break. After your wraps are rolled up tight you’ll add them to the grill to cook them for about 15-20 minutes. We tend to like ours a little overcooked, but you’ll want to check them after about 15 minutes to see if you want to put them back on the grill. Pull them off the grill when you’re ready and open them up and eat right out of the foil! They’re SO tasty and a perfect BBQ side dish for camping or grilling out! I hope you enjoyed this idea!
