I was walking through Michael’s the other week and I stumbled across this awesome Martha Stewart Microbead set in the glitter aisle. I was intrigued, so I bought them on sale and came home…looking for something fun to use them on! If you haven’t been to Target’s Dollar Spot recently (
then you’re crazy) you have to go!! They have the cutest stuff and I got this adorable black and white striped vase while I was there. After bringing home my beads, I immediately knew what I wanted to use them for…and here’s how I made this Easy Valentine’s Vase!!
Start by washing and drying your vase and opening up your supplies. You’ll want to put your vase on a plate so that when you add the microbeads they don’t make a huge mess.
Lie your vase on the side, open up your mod podge, and paint a heart on the side of the vase. I free handed it because it’s very easy to wash the adhesive off if you mess it up…and hearts are pretty easy to draw. Apply the adhesive pretty thick so that it holds all the microbeads in place.
Before the adhesive dries, add your microbeads to the vase and gently tap them into the adhesive. Once dry, feel free to add more adhesive, gently, to fill in any gaps.
And that’s it!! Let it dry and be sure not to wash it….it will wash off with water. So you’ll need to be careful.
I love the texture that the beads give to the vase…they look so pretty and they make the vase pop!! Grab some pretty red flowers and you’ll have the perfect table top decoration!!
