It’s Blog Hop time my friends! And this month we’re rounding up a dozen Father’s Day Ideas! Myself and 11 of my blogging friends are giving you 12 easy Father’s Day Ideas for your husband/significant other! They don’t take too much money or time, but they’ll definitely make your man feel loved!!
My husband loves fishing and loves to get out early in the mornings or before dusk, head to the nearby pond, and spend some time fishing in peace. So I came up with a Father’s Day Fishing Lunch Idea!
Easy DIY Father’s Day Fishing Lunch from Kids
This idea is EASY! I took a box from a six pack of beer and spray painted it white (this took a few coats). From there I took my son’s right hand and painted it yellow and added a few blue stripes, then stamped it on the side of the box. After his hand was stamped on there, I added an eye and a smile….then we painted on some green seaweed, blue waves, and wrote him a quick note that said “Dad, you o-fish-ally deserve a break! Love, Andrew”
After we got done decorating our box, we added it’s contents.
Here’s what we included:
A Bottle of Water
A can of Monster Energy Drink (you could do soda, beer, or other drinks here too)
A turkey and cheese sandwich
A banana
….and here’s where it gets fun…
Gummy Worms
Swedish Fish
Fishy Crackers!!
Get it?! He has a true “fishing” lunch!!
So then you just put your food in each space, set out dad’s fishing reel and lure box, and give him the go ahead to spend a bit of time relaxing while you and the kids make him a fun Father’s Day dinner or dessert!!
