Fourth of July is just a few weeks away, so this weekend I got kicked into red, white, and blue mode! This definitely is one of my favorite color combinations, so I really like coming up with new ideas each year and one of my FAVORITE things to make are wreathes. My husband thinks I have an issue, I just want to have a new and improved and CUTE front door each year…so yes, maybe I do have a dozen or so wreathes. We definitely have the best dressed front door on the black, especially with our Stars and Stripes wreath!
Do you remember my Pinwheel Wreath from earlier this year? Well, I’m kinda obsessed with that wreath, so I wanted to use that as inspiration for my new Fourth of July wreath (remember my Fourth of July Moss Wreath from last year?).
This time, with help from American Crafts’ new red, white and blue scrapbook paper, glitter table, and star embellishments I made a cute new wreath! Look at the new goodies American Crafts has out!
Those were the products I used for this wreath! That paper is so fun and sparkly and FESTIVE!
Here’s what you need for this wreath:
Wreath form
Wide red ribbon
Scissors or paper cutter/1 inch hole punch for circles on medallions
American Crafts Glitter Tape
American Crafts Red, White, and Blue paper
American Crafts Star Embellishments
Hot Glue/Glue Gun
Twine for Stars and Stripes letters
American Crafts White Glitter Letters
Start by wrapping your wreath form with ribbon, gluing ever so many inches. I try to wrap it tight and keep the widths the same. From there you make your paper pinwheels (or paper medallions depending on what you call them). THIS POST gives a tutorial on how to make the paper pinwheels so I’m not going to go into that this time.
From there I just attached the pinwheels and added stars to the circles.
It wasn’t a hard wreath at all to make. Once the wreath was assembled, I used some twine to make a “stars & stripes” pennant sign. American Crafts has the cutest little letters in different colors for small projects like this!
