“Christmas time is here….Christmas time is here….” and it’s my favorite time of the year to decorate my house and add new traditions and decor into my home. The other day I showed you this easy Glittery Reindeer I made for my daughter’s room and today I’m sharing a cute little Santa Claus Christmas Window that I made for my son’s room next to his Christmas tree!
Materials:
Wooden Window from Michaels
DecoArt Americana Chalk Paint in Rogue or Romance
Paint Brush
Black Foam Core Board
Santa Claus cut out using Silhouette cutting machine and vinyl
Hot Glue and glue gun
Fabric for curtains
How to:
1. First I started by painting my window frame red using Americana Chalk Paint. I prefer chalk paint for the majority of my projects because I love the finish and I love how quickly it dries. I’ve used it for most of my recent projects actually.
2. After I painted my window frame and let it dry, I then cut my black foam core board to fit the window. You can use box cutters or a knife to cut the board. I also took a piece of chalk and gently seasoned the board to give it a chalkboard look to it. I cut it a bit bigger on the sides just in case I needed some room to move around.
3. After it was cut, I then used my Silhouette Machine to cut out a Santa and his reindeer onto vinyl and I adhered it onto my board across the top.
4. Finally, I hot glued my window frame on top of the board and added two little curtains from left over strips of fabric from my Rustic Christmas Wreath. I hot glued them around the top and the sides and added a little holly garland I had as a finishing touch.
My son’s Christmas tree is red, green, and white, so this little Christmas window fits his Christmas decor in his room perfectly!
I just LOVE how it turned out and can’t wait to keep on Christmas Crafting!
