We like to spend July 4th week up at the lake fishing, jet skiing, and playing on the beach. We especially enjoy watching the fireworks set off at Cedar Point from where we are staying. So I thought it would be fun to make some Red White and Zour® Necklaces as a cute candy idea for our fireworks watching festivities later this week!
The idea is easy…since we’re at the lake and my husband and dad are fishing, I took some fishing line and a crafting needle and strung some red white and blue marshmallows on fishing line with the Zours® in between. It made a super cute candy and marshmallow necklace for my son to wear and snack on as a special treat!
Here’s the steps…
Gather up all your supplies. You can find the Zours in the candy aisle at your local Walmart center, where they are also demo-ing Zours® starting July 3-6th. Check HERE and HERE to find a demo near you!
Once you have your supplies gathered up you can start stringing your Zours® and marshmallows in any pattern you want. For older children the crafting needles aren’t sharp enough to do much damage, but you’ll want to assist younger children.
I just pushed my needle straight through the candy then gently pushed them down the string.
We opted for two red and blue Zours®, then a marshmallow, then two more Zours®. The Zour® to marshmallow ratio is the kids favorite part!
And of course, you’re not limited to red and blue, you can make candy necklaces using all the colors and make them extra bright and pretty for the kids! Let them use their imaginations!
And then let them enjoy their special treat and make puckered ZOUR® FACES (#ZoursFace)!! **don’t mind the beach hair…this humidity is killer!**
So as for us, we’re going to be enjoying the fireworks from across the lake and this gorgeous view, munching on our Zour® necklaces and enjoying the rest of the week!!
And there may even be a little fishing taking place…enjoy your 4th and ZOURS® Candy Necklace making!
Stop by the in store demos 7/3-7/6 and share YOUR #ZoursFace! My favorite Zour is the red!
