Last year I shared this yummy Homemade Cherry Almond Ice Cream recipe that was SO tasty…so I thought this year I’d try a new take on an Easter themed ice cream with Homemade Cadbury Cream Egg Ice Cream! YUMMM! I love Cadbury Cream eggs, so what better way to eat them than in ICE CREAM!? The recipe is SO simple and takes minutes to prepare!
The recipe follows just the same as the Cherry Almond Ice Cream:
- Two cups heavy whipping cream
- One 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 12 mini Cadbury cream eggs cut up
Mix all the wet ingredients together in a mixer until creamy and thick (3-4 minutes).
While they’re mixing, unwrap your eggs and gently cut them up into halves and fourths. I originally tried just throwing them whole into the mixer, but they didn’t actually break up at all even on a high speed…instead they just threatened to break my mixer. So cut them up before you put them in the mixer and then gently mix for another 30 seconds or so just to get them in there evenly.
After that, pour the mixture into a dish you can freeze. I used an 8×8 baking pan and popped it in the freezer overnight. Then scoop out and enjoy!
