Phew…sigh of relief. The holiday craziness is over. Does anyone else actually feel glad to have the busy holiday season over and look forward to hunkering down for the winter? I do, that’s for sure. And although I’m starting to cut back a bit after the all the holiday sweets, it’s nice to find a little treat that you can enjoy easily in moderation. I stumbled across these new DOVE® Whole Fruit Dipped in Dark Chocolate bites and I’m loving the flavor they provide and that little bit of sweetness I still crave, without being over the top. Not only are they enjoyed individually as a little bite sized treat, but they are also exceptional in cookies or as topping to ice cream, cereal and more! I turned mine into Oatmeal Cookies and I’m sharing with you the easy recipe today!!
First off, you need your DOVE® Dark Chocolate Cherries. I chopped mine up with a knife on a cutting board and set aside. As the #1 solid dark chocolate on the market, the unique, silky-smooth taste of DOVE® Dark Chocolate lives up to people’s expectations of what chocolate should taste like. Available in three varieties of real, whole fruit – cranberry, cherry and blueberry, DOVE® Fruit uses a delicious combination of real fruit dipped in silky smooth DOVE® Dark Chocolate.
Next I mixed together my egg, butter, vanilla, and sugars and then added the dry ingredients.
I scooped about 1/8-1/4 cup of dough onto a greased cookie sheet and baked for 11-13 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown. Then enjoyed warm!!

What size is your bag of Dove Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries? Mine is 26 oz., from Sam’s Club, for $5.98. It seems like a lot of them in the cookie recipe.
I think mine was like 8-10 oz. it wasn’t very much. Definitely not 26 oz. 🙂
