Quick Spring Bunny Wreath from 52 Mantels

Hi, I’m Emily from 52 Mantels and I am SO glad to be here visiting while Abbey snuggles that sweet, new baby of hers! Today, I’ve got a tutorial for a super quick (we’re talking, under 10 minutes from start to finish) Spring hanging bunny. This project is perfect for a cute Easter wreath (which is what I did with mine!) or even indoor wall decor. Can you picture this festive bunny on a Spring mantel? I sure can! :)

Bunny Hanging Decor

Supplies:
Decorative cardboard bunny (mine is a very recent purchase from Dollar Tree)
Vinyl craft sheet (alternate: scrapbook paper and decoupage medium)
Ribbon
Twine
X-acto knife and cutting board
1) Gather supplies (if you can’t find a decorative cardboard bunny, consider making one from recycled cardboard and a bunny template. A quick google search should result in multiple cute bunny silhouettes!)
2) Remove tags and attached ribbon from the bunny. Remove vinyl backing and place bunny on the sticky surface. **I placed him glitter side up, because I didn’t think the vinyl would attach to the glitter.
3) Using your xacto knife, trim away excess vinyl from around the bunny. Don’t forget to cut out the hole for your twine tie!
4) Flip bunny over and admire his (her?) fun new look!
5) Tie a ribbon around bunny’s neck, giving him (her?) a cute bowtie.
6) Place a length of jute, from which to hang your bunny.

I hung my bunny on a plain, Springy wreath for a SUPER quick door decor! I love fast projects, don’t you?!

Isn’t the herringbone print fun? I got my vinyl sheet a long time ago as a sample from Vinyl Expressions (no, I’m not affiliated with them, I’m just passing on my source!), but you could also check your local craft store. And, again, plain ol’ scrapbook paper and decoupage glue would work just fine for this project. Promise! :)

Thanks for having me over today! I hope you come visit me sometime at 52 Mantels.

Hi! I found you on Pinterest! I loved this project and tried it myself! I didn’t have any vinyl on hand, so I used wrapping paper and rubber cement. Thanks for the idea! I am writing a post about it on my blog and I hope you don’t mind if I link back to yours for credit?!
