In our household, one of our favorite things to do for a cozy night in is to have a family movie night. And with Fall well under way, it’s the perfect season for that too! A few weeks ago before I headed off to Phoenix for the weekend, that’s exactly what we did, grabbing the latest kids movie, Epic, making dinner, and just cozying up together on the couch and relaxing. Now with a second baby on the way, I find myself wondering what it’s going to be like to have a 4 year old and an infant and if we’ll be able to continue our movie night traditions as often. I also get to thinking about how much I adore that my son loves to snuggle up with my husband or I on the couch and at what age he won’t want to do that anymore. I think as parents, we especially love these years when our children are old enough to participate in family events, but still young enough to love to cuddle and snuggle up with their parents without being embarrassed.
Recently, we thought it would be fun to try a homemade version of a Buffalo Chicken Wrap for Family Movie Night dinner using Tyson Popcorn Chicken. We love going to restaurants like BW3’s and other places that serve sandwiches and wraps, so we figured why not try to make these same things at home as an easier and cheaper way to make dinner. So we headed off to Walmart to grab what we’d need to make our dinner.
What You Need:
Tyson Popcorn Chicken
Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Sauce
Ranch Dressing (or Blue Cheese)
Start by baking your popcorn chicken according to the instructions on the package.
Meanwhile, lay your tortilla out and add ranch, buffalo sauce, lettuce, cheese and carrots down.
Once the popcorn chicken is done cooking, put it into a bowl or baggy and lightly cover it with more of the Buffalo Sauce OR if you prefer just stick with what’s in the wrap (we LOVE Buffalo sauce, so we cover the chicken too).
For sides we sliced up some fresh apples and served it with pasta salad. The whole meal takes a matter of minutes to make and it’s tasty!
