I can honestly say I got a LOT of project accomplished this weekend! I’m so thrilled! I went out the weekend before and spent a lot of money on crafting supplies and in the back of my head I was asking myself if I was biting off more than I could chew with all the projects coming at the same time, but I got it done!!! As you remember, last week I finished my Gift Exchange present, my stocking advent calendar, and my Snowman Holiday Card Holder! I also got started on two Christmas wreathes, one for my mom and another for my mother in law. My mom helped me finish the two wreathes up today…check out how they turned out!
The wreathes were each wrapped with yarn and then I used the Better Homes and Gardens template for felt poinsettias. I wrapped each wreath in ribbon and my mom helped me make bows for the top, which definitely was what they were missing (and hence why I didn’t finish them earlier this week because something just didn’t look right). They turned out really and I hope my Mom and MIL will enjoy them
We also finished up our Christmas light this weekend…and by we I mean my husband. He did a really nice job.
This year we bought all new multi colored icicle lights and an inflatable Santa for our son. He really liked the inflatables at Lowe’s and this one was only $20, so I got it for him as a little surprise. His response,” Dub do, Santa” (aka Love you, Santa or so I was told).
Have you seen my little kiddo lately? He helped me make cookies for an I Heart Naptime guest post a few weeks ago. So cute.
So my weekend was QUITE productive and now I’m focusing on the gifts I’m making for family members for Christmas. I’m pretty excited to finally have the creative spark to do some handmade Christmas gifts this year. I’ve always wanted to in previous years, but I always had a hard time figuring out what to make. This year I have a good idea for everyone, so those will come after Christmas! Have a WONDERFUL start to your week!
