When we were in Texas a week ago Casey’s cousin had two kitties and Andrew followed them around all week yelling, “Kitty!” after them. We kind of decided then that maybe a really great birthday present for him would be his very own cat. So we headed out on Friday to the local animal shelter and got Max. Max is a 5 month old kitty and he’s been a wonderful addition to our family so far. Andrew LOVES to play with him and Max and Macy (our little beagle) play really well together. The kitty even eggs Macy on and will attack her just to play. Max is a very patient kitty and will let Andrew hold and pet him and he’s very cuddly too and we’ve already had several cuddle sessions at night after the boys have gone to bed. Either way, we’re really glad we got Andrew a present he could really have some fun with, along with a great birthday party and a few toys to add to his large collection.
Last night was my hubby’s 34th birthday too (Andrew was originally due on Casey’s birthday). So first we went and took some family photos at a park about 45 minutes away, then we went out to dinner to celebrate Casey’s birthday. I couldn’t wait to share this photo of Andrew with everyone…the only photo we’ve seen so far, but if this first one is so great, I can’t wait to see the rest!!
